Attended the first ever workshop on waste management that was held by PM Adviser.
In the workshop explained the consept of waste to energy (WtE) as well as other methods for dealing with municipal solid waste.

Following the workshop we submitted our offer for a WtE investment Project to NIC.

A Committee was established following the above-mentioned workshop, which included members from Ministry of Electricity, Ministry of Health, and members from Baghdad Municipality.

Attended various meetings of the Committee during this period and provided technical details as requested.

Attended the meeting that was held by Deputy Minister of Ministry of Environment deputy where Deputy Mayor Baghdad (now the Mayor of Baghdad) and Solid Waste Dept. GM (now GM of Planning) also attended.

Provided a brief on W2e including a video demonstration of Istanbul WtE plant, that was designed and completed by Hitachi Zosen Inova (HZI).

USAID Workshop

USAID held a workshop on waste on this date which was attended by;

• PM adviser board.
• Baghdad Mayoralty, Solid waste Management dept.
• National Investment Commission, One Stop Shop
• Ministry of Electricity, Renewable Energy Dept.
• Ministry of Planning, sector planning Dept.
• Ministry of Environment.

As EEI, we were also invited to the meeting to provide technical details for Waste to Energy.
